Brett L. Jackson

My goals and objectives are the same today as they were when I began instructing in 1982. "Continuously strive to be more like my instructor Grandmaster Hwang by continuing to help others make positive changes in their lives as I continue my lifelong journey as a martial arts educator."

Jackson Academy of Family Martial Arts will provide our students with the very highest level of martial arts education in a clean, safe, positive, motivating and professional atmosphere. We believe a student's character, mannerisms, social skills and humanitarianism must grow in equal or greater proportion to their martial arts skill evolution. Our student body is made up regular people of all ages and walks of life who share a common interest of self improvement. Jackson Academy places the highest esteemed value on "peace of mind" and confidence that is a direct result of the ability to defend oneself while maintaining high levels of healthy physical and mental fitness. Through strenuous honing of physical skills and abilities, we prepare our student's physically, mentally and emotionally to be keenly aware of outside influences requiring an immediate response. At Jackson Academy we believe our mission is to improve the quality of student lives which will in turn enable them to become stand up contributing citizens and leaders in our community and society.

"We do not train students to become fighters; instead we equip them with skill sets that nurture heightened levels of confidence; thereby eliminating threats and avoiding the fight."
